THIS IS THE "NEWS" ARCHIVE PAGE, SO THE "NEWS" IS OBVIOUSLY OLD AND THEREFORE NO LONGER RELEVANT FOR MUCH
OF ANYTHING OTHER THAN FOR HISTORICAL/BIOGRAPHICAL REASONS: ALSO MANY OF THE LINKS ARE EITHER DEAD (NOT WORKING) OR LINKED
TO SOMETHING ELSE !
12/16/06 We posted two new tracks: The unmastered
version of Just Another Fucking Day (on our myspace page) from our upcoming full length that we should have finished by the end of winter/early spring, plus our
new Trio version of Right Frame of Mind (on our Trio myspace page)
12/13/06 J.Robbins' son was born with spinal muscular
atrophy, Desoto Records has set up a page where you can donate some $ to help his family through this difficult and heartbreaking
time, please visit here for more info and to donate. J.Robbins is one of our favorite musicians/producers who has contributed so
much to the indie music scene from his songwriting to his work with countless bands.
11/15/06 Thanks to everyone who made it out to our party
this past Saturday, many drinks were had! We're going to take a couple months off from live shows. We plan
to get out again to play sometime in late January or February. Over the next few months we're going to try
to finish up our next CD and maybe even compile a DVD of sorts featuring various live outtakes from some of the
shows we did over the past year. We're not going to "mass produce" the DVD, since it'll probably rank up there as one
of the worst DVD's ever from a sound/video standpoint, but if you really want one we'll burn one for you when and/or
if we finish it and charge like $2 or something to cover the cost of the disc and case, at worst it would make a nice
drink coaster =:)
11/06/06 DON'T FORGET TO VOTE !!
Just a reminder: Tomorrow November 7th is election day, and there are some important issues and positions up for grabs.

very much to anyone who made it out and/or helped support the SkatePark show we put on last night. We had a decent turnout

time. Check out some photos here.
09/23/06 News
Flash: Hey we're now taking preorders for our first full length CD titled: "Faded Stories of a Broken World from the Lips of an Empty Bottle", you can see the cover, track listings and pre-order
at our ST67 Webstore! These should be ready to ship in a couple of weeks. We're only making a limited amount, so get them while they
last, we don't anticipate making more after they run out.
Also we've got the Norwalk
Skate Park Benefit show coming up next Saturday September 30th! Please come out or at least buy a ticket to help support
the cause. A ticket also counts for a chance to win a new guitar, and you don't even have to be present to win, but
we would like to see you there. Get tickets from one of us or at Castle Music in Norwalk or EMS Skateshop in Bellevue,
or email us and we can do Paypal.
Next up on October
7th, we'll be playing a show at the Maple Grove
in Maple Heights, please try
to make it out, as this is our first time playing in that area, should be a blast!
Finally we posted 3 different songs this
week on myspace. We kept "Narcissist World" up for another week by request, we put up "Rollercoaster Pt II" and "It's
Up to you" again, because they're songs we'll be playing at the next shows. And we posted "Blue Day Morning" for the
first time: this was the first song carla and jim wrote together !
09/16/06 4 different tracks posted today
at myspace: a few you've probably already heard: SeaTac 67, Narcissist World, Right Frame of Mind, Girls Rule, enjoy !!
09/13/06 We added a Trio Myspace page so
you can listen to a few songs and hear what we sound like as a Trio without Carla. We felt it right to get some songs
up since most of our shows as of late have been Trio shows. Check it out here: myspace.com/st67trio
09/09/06 4 Different Tracks posted today
at myspace, check 'em out.
this week's are: Public Access, Watch Your Step, Heavy Weather, and Your Shadow Never
Lies.
09/02/06 We're still posting 4 new tracks
every week on our myspace page.
Check out this week's: My Point of View, Time's up, Time of my Life, Walking backwards.
We also had one of the best practices today! It's been a while since we just
kind of messed around and played a bunch of old songs. We took one of our old mid/slow paced songs and "punkified" it.
It sounds awesome and was a lot of fun. We'll make sure to play it out sometime later on down the road.
Have a safe Holiday Weekend !!
08/29/06 Where
was/is Carla ? Sorry to anyone who came out this past weekend and expected to see Carla rockin' out with us.
She had a bad case of last minute performance anxiety/nervousness. I hope everyone still enjoyed our "Trio" set.
With that said: the shows we do for now on will most likely be "Trio" shows, with a slight possibility that Carla may join
us (no promises). As I said once before: we started this band mainly to write and create songs, to become better
musicians, and then to write even better songs, and finally to try to perfom some of those songs live. Live Shows are
entirely different than sitting at home coming up with songs. We've all struggled a bit with nervousness, what songs
to play, memorizing lyrics, booking shows, etc., etc. The shows we've done have (for the most part) been
awesome. We've had some great support and met some amazing people and shared the stage with some amazing bands.
And to us, that's what the live performance is all about. Sure, we want people to hear our songs, and hopefully some
people will enjoy them, but it's more about having a good time, and being a part of and supporting something we all love.
We're all huge music fans more than anything. We still intend to write and create new songs with Carla, but in the short
term we might concentrate a bit on a some new "Trio" material.
So, SeaTac 67 is kind of like two bands in one.
And to those who have or might say or think: "you can't do that; you can't write, record and release material that Carla performs
on, and not have her do live shows, is she in the band or not, etc., ect." I just want to say to them: Does it really matter
? We're not trying to become superstars or land a record deal, or line-up a nationwide tour, etc., etc. We just
want to write and perform some of our songs and have fun doing it. And if some people want to hear the songs we come
up with, we'll record them and release it. We're not trying to make a bunch of money, we've all got day jobs for that.
So,
after our two upcoming shows, we won't be trying to book any shows for a while, so we can take a little time to regroup a
bit, and maybe work on some new songs, a few shows may pop up here or there, we'll just see how everything pans out.
Hope
to see everyone out at our next two shows, because it might be a while before we get out and play again !!
jim
08/26/06 A week just went by and we just
post 4 new tracks on our myspace page,
check 'em out. Hope to see everyone out tonight at the Red Parrot in Lorain
! Also our September 30th show has turned into a fundraising event to help raise money to build a skatepark in Norwalk.
More details about that show to be anounced soon. Mark your calendars !!
08/19/06 See I told you we'd have more going
on again; come late August !
We're going to start posting 4 different songs every week starting
today and going until we run out of songs at our myspace page. Let us know if you really like a specific song and maybe we'll keep it up longer or put it up again
later on. Right now we're going to post songs from our EP "Narcissistic
Personality Disorder" that we released last year along
with tracks from our upcoming CD entitled "Faded Stories of a Broken World from the Lips of
an Empty Bottle". This new CD is essentially a collection of "older" songs that we wrote between 1999-2003 while the "band"
was just starting to become more than just an "idea".
08/16/06 Our Sept 9th show has been
rescheduled to Sept 30th @ the UAW Hall in Norwalk.
08/13/06 You can check out the title and
track listing for our first of 2 upcoming full length CD's that we plan to release this year: at our Music / Discography page ! This CD includes many of the older songs that we didn't want to completely fade away, a few of these are
still featured in our current set lists, but most are left off in favor of newer stuff.
08/12/06 We made a few minor website
design changes, everything is still there, it just looks a bit different and the site navigation is at the top instead of
the sides. We had a blast at the Toledo Summer Music Fest last weekend, thanks for everyone who made it out and checked
out our set. Unfortunately we had to come up with a last minute "Trio" set, but we did alright for
not playing the majority of the songs in close to two months. A little bit rusty, but it was
fun, nonetheless. We've got a couple cool shows coming up, hope to see everyone out. We've got our 3rd Red Parrot
- Lorain show SAT 8/26 and then our first (not in our house) Norwalk show on SAT Sept 9th. Be There !
08/03/06 The Band: Stage/Time Schedule has been posted for
this Saturday's Rock Fest !! Hope to see everyone there !!! Click Here for the Schedule.
07/11/06 We're playing the 2006 Toledo Summer Music Fest
We
don't know exactly what time or on what stage we play yet. That depends on how many bands are finally confirmed, the number
of tickets we sell versus what the other bands sell and where the promoters ultimately feel they want to put us. But no matter:
this is going to be great ! Around 50 bands, 4 stages, ALL AGES and they also serve the tasty Adult Beverages that so many
of us +21'ers enjoy... mmm!! This place is pretty big. 3 floors and a basement. The main stage area can hold close to 800
or so people. Flyers with the list of confirmed bands will be available soon. Many local Toledo and surrounding area bands
will be present, new and established acts, with a large variety of musical styles available to make it a very fun and interesting
day.
You can get Presale tickets from us for $10. Just shoot us
an email and we'll meet up with you and get you the ticket(s). Just think: that's only $.20/band. And if you can't see all
50 because, well 4 play at essentially the same time, so if you stayed at one stage all day you would probably see 12.5 bands
which would be $.80/band, anyway you look at it, it's a pretty good deal. Come out and party with us, and have a good time
! Carla is back ! And it's our first show since May 20th. It'll be fun !
SAT 08/05/06 1PM-2AM @ Vamps Night Club
(formerly the Masonic Temple), 911 Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 50+ Bands - 4 Stages - ALL AGES
2006 Summer Music Fest (presented by Taking on Explosives)
07/10/06 Well the World Cup is over with Italy
crowned the champions for the fourth time !! Great Cup! If you missed Zidane's head butt, you missed a special moment
which could have quite easily been the downfall of France who offensively dominated the game! Never short of surprises!
Anyway, good news: Carla is back for good! We also recorded some songs and they came out pretty good. We should
have our full length CD1 and CD2 out pretty soon. We're working on the artwork and such on CD1 right
now, CD2 we still have to work on some of the vocals and then get started with mixing. We also have enough new songs
to release an EP or maybe another full length by the end of the year, we'll keep you posted. We have some
great shows coming up starting next month, get in touch with us or check our show page if you need more info, directions, tickets, etc.
jim
06/20/06 WORLD CUP FEVER /// aside from watching as many futebol
(soccer) games in a day as possible, we're going to try to record some songs this weekend.
06/06/06 The show in Michigan was CANCELED Saturday, after
we showed up. Only us and the fine folks in the band SMP (from Grand Rapids) showed up! It
was a nice drive. We'll see you out again in late August.
05/28/06 Hey, we've got our last show before our short break
coming up next weekend in Southgate, MI,. Hope to see everyone there!!
05/16/06 Carla's joining us this Saturday for our show
at Evolution, get ready it's gonna be a crazy fun time !!!
05/04/06 We updated our Fotos page and added some random shots from a few
shows we played at where we failed to take pictures of ourselves and we also added some photos from our drunken Annabell's
show this past weekend. Check em out by following the links on our Fotos page.
05/01/06 Happy 1st of May ! Time to start cutting the
grass, I suppose (especially if it's about a foot high like ours, ouch) Anyway, It really sucks having to play
last at a show. 3 times already !! 1) chances are when you're a small unknown band from out of town everyone is
there to either play (in another band) or to see the other bands playing that night 2) you watch the other bands play anticipating,
waiting, not enjoying those bands as much as you'd like, because you still have to play (the nervous, anxious
shit, you know) 3) you end up drinking way to much PBR that you forget the lyrics and just don't pull off a solid set.
Well that
sort of wraps up our last two shows. Phantasy was a really cool place. The bands were good, but
brought a very young crowd (most had X's on they're hands = underage, which isn't a bad thing, but...) they all took off after
"their" band played. Kind of lame, but typical. Thanks so much however to Jennifer, the Phantasy empolyees and
the band Failure Amongst Heroes and their two friends for sticking around and checking out our set. We actually had
a very solid set, despite the turnout. Now Annabell's/Akron was a little different. We got there
early, set up our gear (because the guy who booked the show said we were going first), then the sound guy shows up, tells
us we were to go last, Downtown Daggers canceled and he told us to move our gear into the other room. So.. well, that
sucked ! Anyway, nevertheless we started drinking, some friends showed up, more drinking, then the Hollywood Blondes took the stage and blew us away with their Screeching Weasel style pop punk
greatness which of course led to more drinking, then the Science Fiction Idols took over playing some fun 70's-ish bar
rock punk adding to more drinking, a guy even ended up laying on the floor looking like Jesus, then we took the stage.
We had a lot of fun, but talk about a rough, sloppy set. Missed words, songs at different speeds, foot pedal mess
ups, but hell it was fun and the guys from Hollywood Blonde are super fun to hang out with! Thanks to everyone
who made it out.
Our next show is at an all ages skate park, so
no drinking, but make sure to bring your helmets and skateboards so you can show us a thing or two on the ramps!!
jim
04/14/06 Tax day approaching, better get 'em done! The
Show last night in BG was AWESOME, we had a blast! Thanks to everyone who showed up, Taking on Explosives,
the Reputation, Howards and the other bands for the great music and good times!!

We've got a bunch of shows coming up, please mark your calendars(see our shows page) !
We are going to work on recording a
new EP for some of our "Trio" songs during our free time over the next couple of weeks. And hopefully have a demo available
pretty soon.
We also finally finished recording
our material for our 1st Full length CD with Carla that we should have available in very limited quantities in about a month.
On a similar note: we plan on taking
a little time in June to record our 2nd full length CD with Carla, which will complete the majority of the songs we've done
with Carla singing and playing with us. When this is finished we will also make limited quantities available for sale.
As a TRIO we still play a good portion
of the songs that will be on our 2 full length CD's and previous EP with Carla, just not everything. Some songs just
don't work with 1 guitar, and a lot just aren't the same without Carla singing, and we've chosen to leave those out of our
Trio Set lists.
One more thing. We plan on taking
a little break from doing live shows during most of June, July, and August so we can wrap up some recording, write some new
"Trio" songs and do some vacation/family stuff. So please try to make it out to one of our currently scheduled shows,
as we aren't planning to schedule any more shows until the end of August.
04/02/06 The shows this weekend were awesome. Thanks to everyone
that came out, thanks to the other kick ass bands, and thanks to Pat's, Jennifer @ starloft.com, and to Boba for having us!
And Special Thanks to Chip for helping with our flat tire Friday night !
03/27/06 We've got our first shows as a trio, our first show in Cleveland, our
first show in Akron, 3 new songs, all of this great stuff coming up this weekend (March 31st & April 1st), a lot
of 1st's, yeah, come check us out !! check out the details here: SHOWS
03/20/06 The show last night at the Red Parrot was a lot of
fun, despite us being moved to the last band of the night and the small turnout(It's tuff to get Monday working people
and folks that have Monday classes out on a Sunday night in Lorain !) ! We were pretty intimidated
having to play last , especially performing after a solid act like Band Camp, but we think we pulled off a pretty decent set.
Thanks to everyone who stuck around and to the other bands for the great show and especially the guys from FKOC for lending
us their drum throne and amp power cable (which we left in Columbus the night before) !!! We didn't get
any photos at this show, but we may try to get a short video clip up if we figure out how to upload, edit and format
it on the computer !!
03/19/06 Great
Show last night. Thanks to everyone who came out !! We got some photos posted here. Hope to see some of you out tonight at the Red Parrot !!
03/16/06 IMPORTANT MESSAGE AND NEWS FROM JIM
Happy March Everybody ! I've got a lot of news for you this
time around(sorry about the book) First off: thanks to everyone who has picked up one of our CD-EPs: we've had some great,
some good and a lot of "mmm... I liked that one song, you know, the one that ..." type responses and a few ok's... but we'd
like to thank everyone who has showed us any amount of support or encouragement, no matter if your musical tastes lie elsewhere,
it really means a lot to us either way ! ...Since the release (it seems like so long ago) we've played 2 official "outside
of our house" shows and have more upcoming shows scheduled ! Yipeee, Yay, woo hooo ! Time to rock !! Let me tell you, booking
shows is tuff, with a gazillion bands out there, it's not easy, so thanks again to Mike F (yes, he's the same guy that plays
drums for us, works a normal full time job, and has become our band booking agent/myspace guru, and actually has a real life
outside of it all) for digging in and working his butt off sending out close to 10 million emails and messages to line up
some killer dates !!
Next topic: we've got some super cool new stickers and buttons
matching our EP "heart" logo that you can get from us at shows for free, if you're really nice!!
The next news may be a bit shocking and disappointing
to some of you, but we hope you'll understand and support us.
Carla has decided that the next two shows will be her
final "official" live performances.
First off: Carla and I started this band/project
close to 6 years ago because we were both very passionate about music and really wanted to try to create some of our own.
After working hard for what seems like a very long time, through living in different cities, gaining and losing friends and
acquaintances, different jobs, and all the other little things life throws at you, we finally found a bassist and then a drummer
(the Mikes), and we actually came to a point where we were ready to polish up and take our songs out and let them be heard.
Well that was really hard when we were used to playing only to each other and we practice using a songbible of lyric sheets
and we have close to 60 songs to choose from. Nevertheless, we all worked really hard over the past year, maybe too hard at
times, but we really wanted to record our material and get out there and experience performing some "real" shows. After the
most recent shows, Carla realized that performing live is not something she wants to keep doing. For her it wasn't fun, and
that's what we started this project for in the first place: to have fun doing and enjoying what we love. She loves to write
and play music, but getting out and performing it on stage in front of others is not something she finds enjoyable. It's really
hard to do. If any of you have performed or spoken on stage in front of others and given it your all, and bared many of your
personal feelings, you know it is not easy, some people like it or can learn to like it and others just don't. Carla tried
but decided it wasn't for her. So, Carla's LAST performances (for now) will be our March 18th show in Columbus and our March
19th show in Lorain. Carla is not giving up on the band or on music, but has decided to play a more behind the scenes/songwriting
role (with a few possible future (special)performances here or there, you know the type of show were everyone gets drunk and
we then proceed to perform every song we've written no matter how long it's been since we've played it and throw in some really
bad cover songs and party like it's 1902!, yeah!) Now, currently we have close to two CDs worth of material written, the
first CD(19 songs) has already been recorded and we're in the process of finishing it up right now and the second CD (13 or
14 songs) we still plan to record sometime this April or May. These two CDs with our already released EP include all of the
songs that you've heard us play if you've seen us live, checked out some of our old demos, or hung out while we practiced.
We're going to make some special Limited Edition copies of these CD's available to you as soon as they're finished and we'll
keep you posted on the progress. So most of the songs that we've all worked so hard on over the past few years can be heard
the way they that we wrote them with Carla singing and performing with the rest of us.
As for the future of the band, well things will be a bit
different after March 19th, but we don't plan to disappoint. SeaTac 67 has become more of a collaborative effort since Carla
and I started it. We now have both Mike and Mike contributing new songs, ideas, and helping us hash out old ideas, all the
while we're collectively becoming better musicians and songwriters. So instead of giving up or changing the band name: our
live performances for now (after 3/19) will feature Jim+Mike+Mike and you could think of us as "the SeaTac 67 Trio" if you
like! Now remember: we have written close to 60 songs. About 80% of those songs feature Carla on main vocals and guitar. So
that leaves about 12 songs that feature myself or Mike or both of us on vocals. Take those 12 or so songs, add a few of the
other "older ones" that we can rework with just one guitar, and have one of us take over her vocal duties, and low and
behold we've got a full set; not to mention a few brand spankin' new songs that Carla helped write that we're just dying to
play live. So needless to say if you've seen us live, you would know and can expect the "ST67 Trio" set to be a little bit
more on the punk side of things right now, due to our vocal abilities and styles, and having only 1 guitar and such, but
we hope to throw in a few surprises and changes every now and again.
We're honestly doing this band for the fun and love of music,
it's a blast to write and play songs, and we hope to have some fun performing for/with you. We're also not closing the door
to the possibility that someone else might join the band at some point down the road, because we all really like the sound
and dynamics that a band with two guitars can offer, and we are all in love with the female voice and are very strong supporters
of female musicians and think there should be more women represented in the indie/punk scene than what we've seen or that
we see today....
So on that Note: We will greatly miss sharing the stage with
Carla, so please come out for the last chance to see her perform live at our next two shows:
SAT 03/18/06 6PM @ the Scarlet and Grey Cafe,
2203 N High St, Columbus, OH ALL AGES $6.00 (contact us for tickets !) Bands:w/ Wars of the Future,
WeeWaffle Cattle, Livingston
SUN 03/19/06 7PM @ the Red Parrot Cafe 538 Broadway, Lorain,
OH ALL AGES $7 ADV $8 DOS (contact us for tickets !) Bands: w/Band Camp, Blue Book Phonics, Dr.Teeth

Don't forget to come check us out this Friday Dec 30th @ the Red Parrot Cafe in Lorain ! We also booked a new
show for Feb 12th @ the Modern Exchange in Southgate, MI !
12/22/05 We just lined up our first "official" show @ the Red Parrot Cafe in Lorain on Friday December 30th 7PM,
we're first: so come one, come all and show up early, we only have a 30 minute set, but you can hang around afterwards
and celebrate Caca's birthday with us and check out the other bands !
12/19/05 OUR DEBUT CD-EP's have just arrived !! You can get one if you run into us in person, or you can
order from our ST67 Web Store. We also have some buttons and stickers for sale online !! We're in the process of setting up some shows, we'll
keep you posted as soon as we know anything !!
12/02/05 We'll get a couple MP3's up from the upcoming EP online soon. In the mean time; we've decided to put up
an Internet Only Release of a special Acoustic Song called "The More I Ask for the Less I receive aka.. Reality", it's one
of our older songs, and a bit different than most of our stuff, hope you enjoy it. You can listen at our music page.
11/23/05 CD EP UPDATE:
Our New EP has just been sent off for production. We should have it around the first
of the year. Keep checking the site for updates, or sign up for our mailing list for the most current info. We'll
have the EP, buttons, and stickers for sale if you catch us in person, and we will also set it up so that you can order
directly from us online.
Track Listing:
1. SeaTac 67
2. Streetwise Princess
3. Walking Backwards
4. Narcissist World
5. White Trash Hell
6. Public Access
7. Watch Your Step (acoustic)
11/14/05 CD EP - Recording update:
We've got the tracks recorded and 85.36% mixed for our CD EP release - It's going to be 7 songs
(just under 19 minutes long) not 6(as origianlly thought). It's a mix of fast, slow, and medium paced songs, a
few you may have heard, 1 brand new song, and a bonus Acoustic song. Hopefully, we'll get the finishing touches
done this week and get it sent off for production. If all goes smoothly(keep your fingers crossed) we
should have these around Christmas/New Years time.
CD
1 - Full Length Recording update: We also have about 1/2 of the tracks recorded for our first full length
CD. It's going to be 19 songs. These songs are going to be pulled from the list of songs that Carla and Jim wrote
together anywhere from 3-5 years ago, it's been great to finally flesh these songs out with bass and drums;
some we don't play too often anymore, but we really wanted to get them all down as a testament of what we started
from. Like most bands; we usually enjoy playing our newest songs more than the older ones, but we didn't want to just
let these fade away without getting a decent recording of them.
10/23/05 OK, some good news: We've got STICKERS available, if you see any of us, ask for one, they're
free. We've also got some buttons on order and we'll be giving those away for free too! Once the buttons show
up you'll be able to order both online for a small $ to cover postage/envolopes. Of course they'll still be free
if you get 'em from us in person. We also plan on locking
ourselves in the studio for the next month to produce our first masterpiece !! Well, not actually a studio, and since
we all have "real job's".... , but we're going to work hard to get the tracks recorded and mixed for our first
full length CD and a 6 song CD EP. We hope to have both recorded, duplicated, packaged and ready for mass
consumption around the 1st of the year !! We'll keep you updated on our progress, and may post a couple MP3's when
we get the songs done. Right now we have the tentative track listings, and we plan to start recording on November 5th.
In the meantime, we're going to try to line up a couple real shows, and we will also set up a CD release party,
when the CDs are done !
10/11/05 Busy, busy ! We definitely enjoyed ourselves at the party this weekend, thanks to all who made it
out ! We put some photos from the party up here (or you can access them from the top of our Fotos page)
BONUS: you can check out a rough little
video we recorded on our digital camera of us performing our Song "Devil's Soul" it's at the bottom of our music page.
10/03/05 Party
Time !! We're having another party/performance on Sunday, October 9th. If interested in attending please
email us: band@seatac67.com and we'll supply you with all the "top secret" details !!
9/06/05 Good News: The US and Brasil Men's soccer teams both qualified this past weekend for the World
Cup taking place in Germany next summer !
Not so good observation: Isn't it really pathetic that
the US Government takes little or no time at all to deploy an armada to strike and bomb the shit out of another country, but
delays and takes several days to get the necessary aid and help to cities in the US that just suffered from a massive
natural disaster !?!
News from our BAND: We're going to attempt to get
a few fresh MP3's posted this month, and we might actually get some stickers and buttons printed up: we'll
keep you posted !
8/07/05 Lately our "real" job schedules have been cutting into our practice time and ability to schedule shows,
but that won't stop us. We've been working hard on a few new songs, and when we get a chance we'll try to put on a show,
somewhere, anywhere, we'll keep you posted !
7/17/05 We
have close to 50 songs now and that's not even including all the "in the works" song ideas. We've worked
out about 30 of those with drums, and the writing hasn't stopped. So by the time we get around to actually
recording we'll have a lot of stuff to sort through, or we could just record it all and put out a 4 CD box set.
6/27/05 Well we finally did it, we had our first "live" performance, and managed to keep it together and have a
great time. We only invited a few people over to see how we could handle playing in front of others. And although we
were all a little nervous, we managed to do pretty well. A few missed words, a couple broken strings, and
about an hour later, we were done and eating barbeque and ready to do it again. Click this link to check out some photos.
6/16/05 The days are starting to get hot and HUMID ! mmm, Great for marathon runners ! Well; we've
actually got a "set" of music about 97% down. We shot for 30 minutes and now have close to an hour worth of material,
all original !! You better Get ready, we'll try to get a few parties and such lined up before we hit the clubs and bars
and begin our quest for total world domination ! Anyway, we want to get a few shows in first and then
later this fall: we'll try to get into a studio and attempt to record a demo/first release/EP sort of thing, so we'll
keep you posted !
5/31/05 We just uploaded 4 new recordings to our Music page. Check 'em out and let us know what you think.

| XUXA -- RIP -- You Will be Missed !! |
5/30/05 Friday,
we spent a little time recording a few songs, we'll put them up on the site in a few days.
And on a sad note: our little feline
friend "Xuxa" passed away yesterday. We'll all miss her, she really enjoyed listening to a few of our songs, she was the
biggest fan of our slower melodic stuff, when we'd play it back on the stereo; she'd come from wherever
she was in the house, jump up, do a little cat chirp and roll around, and push her head into our hands ! !
5/25/05 According to the "Chinese Zodiac" our band consists of a Snake, a Tiger, and two Cocks, and we should all get
along quite well with each other. We just have to avoid or watch out for: Boars, Rabbits and Monkeys
!!
05/19/05 Well, we've been practicing together about 6 hours a week, and things are coming along quite nicely. We're
going to have a few people over sometime in June, so we can perform a set to help us shake some of the "first show jitters".
Also, we are going to try to get a few song demos recorded over Memorial Day weekend to replace some of the
mp3's we have on the website. We're tageting mid-July for our first "Official" Live Show.
04/24/05 You
can't (unless you're in a band) imagine how much fun and exciting it is to play with a drummer and actually see the songs
you've been working on for years actually start take shape !! We've got close to 13 of our songs almost worked
out with drums, that'll give us a solid 30 minute set !!! So look out, we'll be ready to do some shows pretty soon!
04/20/05 We just posted our first demo recording with Drums !!! Check it out on our Music Page. Based on
the whopping tally of 14 votes on our song poll: "walking backwards" was the clear winner, so naturally a good choice
for our first demo.
04/20/05 We've
Officially changed our Band name to SEATAC 67.
New logos and such are in the works.
04/17/05 BREAKING
NEWS: We now Officially have a DRUMMER !!! His name is Mike!
We now have a complete band !!! Get Ready to ROCK !! We'll
have some new photos and a demo MP3 up in a few days. We've also changed the band name. We'll
update the site soon with the unveiling of our new name.
04/05/05 Having a drum set is great, we get to beat the living/nonliving crap out of it to release stress and anxieties
and such, woo hoo. Anyway, we've been, well, what else other than working our day jobs: we've been working on
new songs and old songs and we've "jammed" with a couple drummers and might have something going there, too early to say yet,
but excitement is brewing !! We took the annoying drumset advert off the Homepage, because we're tired of looking at
it! We've also set a target date for our first CD release for December 2006 !! Shit that's almost 2 years away,
(you're thinking) but hey we set a goal, and cash isn't the easiest thing to come by, so have patience friends, we'll make
it worth the wait. Oh yeah we're also considering changing the name, so more on that later. over and out
03/21/05 Well
we got a drum kit, now we just need someone to play it !! We've got some other fun news we'll reveal within the next
few weeks, keep checking for updates.
02/27/05 We added a few new Links and created a page with links to various record labels for anyone that's interested.
02/21/05 We
recorded a boatload of songs yesterday, maybe we'll get a couple new ones up at some point.
02/10/05 We
added a poll to our music page so you can vote for which song of ours is your favorite.
01/28/05 It's summer in Brasil, and zero degrees here, gotta love life. All work and no play leaves little left
in the day!! That's January for ya. woo hoo !
01/01/05 Merry
New Year to all and to all a good year !
12/19/04 We just
added a very lo-fi video for a new song that you can check out on our music page. We also posted a few new photos on
the Fotos page.
12/14/04 Holiday
seasons are in full swing, (oh and we just got dumped on with a slam bam thank ya ma'm white winter wonderland from the
gods or demons above, (snow sucks!)) go buy something, or better yet boycott shopping this year and make your loved
ones something, like a nice dinner !! Anyway, tis the season to be jolly! ho ho ho ha! We'll be putting
our Best/Favorite of 2004 Music lists up on our weblog sometime between 12/25/04 and 1/1/05. Be safe, go see a
band, start a revolution, peace, over and out !!
12/6/04 I
know we promised a new MP3's ages ago, so here you go: check out our new song "Hell Hole" which is our first MP3 that
includes Mike on bass and back-up vocals. Visit our myspace.com page here:
www.myspace.com/punkgirlzonthewall to listen !! We also put up a newer version of "Devil's Soul" on our Music / Discography page.
11/03/04 Well
I guess it's 99% official 4+ more years of homophobia, discrimination, more religion in our
government, job outsourcing, war, and less and less personal privacy and "freedom". Ironically the most "educated" and
culturally/musically diverse areas of our country voted to oust GWB including DC, Chicago, New York, California, Washington,
Oregon, Mass, + the majority of the Northeast. Crazy ! Note to self and all activists out
there: Good Job, don't stop now, keep the momentum going, keep spreading the word of unjustices, it will make a difference
!!
11/03/04 We finally made it ! The mother of all Search Engine
Listings: DMOZ - the Open Directory Project . You can't find us when you use their search function
on the site, but if you go to arts - music - bands & artists - P - then scroll all the way down, there we are !!
click the link here to check it out ! Had to have something to smile about after last night !!
11/02/04 VOTE VOTE VOTE go out and make a difference, show the world that the under 30 population can make a difference!!
see Michael Moore's last words here if you need a little kick to get you out !! We live in OHIO, and it's oh so important this year !!!
VOTE
10/18/04 We
played an 18 song acoustic set for Grandma's 82nd birthday Sunday, it was fun. Got a couple new photos up,
one from the above show and one of Caca on Allen's sweet new custom drum kit. Tried to upload a few new songs,
but the computer wouldn't let it happen, we'll try again soon.
10/10/04 Now
that you're registered to Vote, educate yourself a little about the issues and candidates. When you go to Vote, remember
you don't have to fill everything in just to do it, it's not a test, so there's no point in making a random choice,
when you know nothing about the guess you're making! You could end up kicking yourself in the ass if you randomly
pick someone in the local election, they win by 1 vote and you find out later that this person supports nothing that you believe
in !!
09/27/04 Hopefully
everyone able to register to vote has done so, (there's still time if you haven't) now the next step is to find out were to
vote and go do it. Most polls are open super early in the morning until later in the evening, so there should
be no excuses for not going, and most employers allow some free time for voting purposes if you work a double from say like
6am to 9pm, so get out and VOTE !!
09/06/04 Good
day! We know you're hearing this everywhere, but please registar and then go out to VOTE at the Presidential Election
this year.
08/03/04 Last
night we just copied the tracks we've recorded on the 4-track over the past year or so and we ran out of room on the CDR.
We got 33 tracks on the 80 min disc, leaving about 5 recorded songs off. We also have 5 or 6 new/old songs we're
still working out that we haven't recorded yet. Of course all of the songs are subject to change when we, sigh, inject
a drummer.
07/21/04 Nothing
new again, Warped Tour this Friday, woo hoo !! Too bad we're not playing !
07/06/04 Just
over a year and we haven't really had any website problems until, now. We apologize if you can't always bring the pages
up. Our host has updated some stuff and well, we seem to lose out, oh well. At least it's kind of cheap.
06/07/04 Just
our luck, the girl that we asked if we could play a few songs at her party a week ago, told us when we started setting
up that she couldn't remember saying it was ok, and said they'd rather listen to some hip hop in between the other band's
sets, so in those few unkind words basically told us to "fuck off !!". Which, by the way, the hip hop part never
happened, and no one else really would have minded if we played anyway, so whatever !! Just disappointing
! At least 11 people (1/3 of the "big" party) would have enjoyed seeing us play.
06/01/04 Lawnmowers
running throughout the morning, vacuum cleaner at 10 AM Saturday morning, and the fx@%-ing cops show up around 3 o'clock Saturday
afternoon and tell us to turn our music down. No complaints from the neighbors, he just heard us playing while
driving by. What the fuck?
Well it looks like we're
going to play at a party this weekend. We hope to play a 30 minute set with our imaginary drummer and no bassist.
Looks like our bassist's significant other is forcing him to choose either the band or her, whatever !?! Isn't unfound
jeolousy just too common a theme in Shakespearian plays and countless modern TV shows/movies/songs ?
He's just playing some songs, come on, grow up. The whole "sex, drugs, rock'n'roll" theme is really overrated and pretty
much a myth for small, new indie bands. Sure it happens sometimes (but sometimes is an exception, not the rule), and
it's rarely like the over glamourized 70's/80's hair band, free love bullshit.
04/30/04
Once a month updates are pretty sad, don't you think? Oh well, Spring is upon us, and
it freakin' snowed 2 days ago, ouch! Soccer season is in full swing, the Europeon season's wrapping up and Brasil &
MLS just starting up, yipee! USA men's team just beat Mexico 1x0 in the last minute of the game, it was just a
not so friendly International Friendly. Quick word of advice: get out of the house and enjoy some of the nicer weather!
03/26/04 We
just keep writing songs, I know it sucks not having a drummer, but if you build it they will come! Soon !
We've all been working long hours lately, so not a lot of musical time, right now weekends are our only time to get together.
02/29/04 Nothing
to report again, except our ever growing dislike of and embarassement of having GWB as our president.
02/13/04 It's
Friday the 13th and we live on Elm St. oooooh !! Kind a creepy, anyway, all goes
well here-still cold.
02/04/04 No
news sucks! Sorry! It's cold/snowy/rainy/cold/freezing oh did we mention cold !! a month filled with cold,
car problems, and one of the acoustic guitars needs a doctor. oh well, stay warm!
01/08/04 New
photos are up on our Fotos page ! We've put a few tracks down on the four track and we'll post a new song
or a revamped old one soon !
01/01/2004 Wow,
a new year! Happy New Year ! We posted our top album lists on our weblog. We haven't gotten the photos
or the songs done yet! Soon!
12/17/03 We're
going to post some Top 5/10 lists on our weblog; some new photos, and hopefully a new mp3 on the site in the coming week.
Have a safe Holiday season !
12/12/03 Notes
from the Underground: Well we're kind of procrastinating calling potential drummers, because we still need cash
for some "mock" soundproofing, and we have a little water problem in the basement. So what else is there to do, but
practice the "old" songs, rework some "old" ones, and write new ones. We're close to 40 songs now. All running
between 1 and 5 minutes. About 30 of those are pretty much worked out, except for the drums and vocal harmonization,
which could change a few things. We'll probably have about 3 albums worth of material before our first "real" gig, so
we'll be able to play a different 30 minute set for the first 4 shows; if we wanted to. Crazy !
11/30/03 Not
much new here. Chicago lost last weekend, sucks. T-day was T-day. We were finally added to the Yahoo
Search engine, check it our here.
11/17/03 The
Chicago Fire are in the MLS Cup Final set to play San Jose this Sunday: it'll be on ABC at 3:30 pm EST. And
it's time for Vasco to rebuild and get some reinforcements for next year !
11/12/03 Got
a lot of news this time:
1st- the move is complete, we now have a house/place to practice, with a little
clean-up and soundproofing we should be ready any day now.
2nd- we found an interested person to bang the sticks, hopefully we'll get together
this weekend to see what happens, yes !!!!
3rd- the Chicago Fire is on FIRE. They dominated
the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs and face off this Friday night against the New England Revolution. The winner
advances to the Cup Final. GO FIRE !!
10/23/03 Great News: Finally we have a deposit on a house !!! Move in - scheduled for the
1st week of November. Time to Bring the Rock !
10/22/03 Elliott
Smith age 34 died last night. Elliott was a beautifully poetic singer/songwriter who wrote some
amazingly heartfelt songs most people can relate to in one way or another. Soft folky/indie rock: a must have in anyone's
musicbox.
10/16/03 The
Chicago Fire is the 2003 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Champion !!
10/11/03 Crazy.
Last night we got the opportunity to take the stage at Frog City, near Toledo. Carla, Jim, and Mike got up and performed
2 songs. It was a little rough, but came out surprisingly well, saying that it was Mike's first time on stage
and Carla's second !!
10/09/03 Some
more good news: Google has listed our site in their directory/search engine, woo hoo !!
They are the second search engine to list our site. Check it here.
10/06/03 Brasil
and the USA women's teams have been knocked out of the Women's World Cup, Germany and Sweden are in the finals. Oh the
USA gets to play Canada for Third Place. We might write a Halloween Album dedicated to all the lost souls, ghosts, and
unknowns.
Great News:
We've recruited
a vitctim to play bass. Now for finding that drummer, that so many bands have trouble finding.
9/28/03 Things
have been a bit wild lately, but all's well. We have many new song concepts, songs keep comin'. Soon we'll have
a practice space. Count the days. The US & Brasil women are competing right now in the FIFA
Women's World Cup and kicking some serious butt! Most of the games are televised, check 'em out.
9/12/03 Another
sad note: Last night we lost one of the greatest influences in music of all genres: Johnny Cash. Johnny
surpassed genres, encompassing the true passion, poetry, and beauty of music. Not bowing to pressures and always doing
it his way. A true punk artist ! We also lost another great entertainer: John Ritter. We spent
many late nights rolling in laughter, he was a highly underated actor and was too young. This has been a tough
year. Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer (of the Clash, who passed away earlier this year) were two of the greatest musicians
of our time. R.I.P.
9/11/03 Nothing
exciting, nothing new. A day for a sober reminder of how fucked up the world can be! We've added some social/political
links on our links page to offer an alternative to the shit news we get spoonfed from the mass media conglomerates.
We think you should think for yourself, if you're not pissed off at the state of the world, read a little bit, because
you will be. Check out some books by Chomsky or Howard Zinn for a start.
8/31/03 Not
much new here. We've been working hard to earn the cash for some new equipment and a house.
8/11/03 We
hope to be moving into a house by the end of September, so we'll finally have a space to practice. Nothing is
concrete yet, but we're working on it!
8/01/03 After
submitting our site to numerous search engines 2 months ago, we can now be found here on AltaVista !!! Awesome !! In addition to a great search engine, AltaVista has a good foreign language translation page!
7/29/03 As
promised, we put up 2 new songs on our music page. These will probably take longer to load, sorry, hopefully they'll be worth the wait.
7/27/03 Well,
we spent the weekend up in Rapid City, MI. Talk about out in the middle of nowhere. Well it was great, we took
our acoustic guitars and played for a bunch of our friend's family around a campfire. It was cool, they asked
us to play more, but by that time, we had a bit too much of the "drink" to play.
Soccer news: Mexico beat
Brazil to take first place in the Gold Cup. The US finished 3rd.
7/23/03 the
Good news: Brazil advances to the final of the Gold Cup; the Bad news: they beat the USA to do it.
7/20/03 All
our soccer teams won this weekend !! Brasil, USA, Vasco da Gama, and the Chicago Fire !!!! |
